*The Scotsman Hotel
On a recent trip to Edinburgh, I booked myself into the much talked about Scotsman Hotel Spa for a facial and massage which I am delighted to report was pretty special. . .helped by the stainless steel pool and slightly handsome swimming instructor. As he taught two children to swim, I couldn’t help but be spurred on by the drowning seven year old to my right. After an hour of showing off my swimming technique, it was time for my treatments.
The back massage was everything you could possibly want for an area, which you can barely see, and the Thalgo facial really felt it was reducing lines and increasing firmness. I’m not sure if it was the beautiful setting, or the competitive amounts of swimming but I drifted away into a blissful land where Burberry jackets grew on trees and summer holidays organised themselves.
